2007: Shortly after Jimmy Page testified,
Robert Langley pleaded guilty to trademark & copyright infringements after
having more than $22,000 worth of bootleg Led Zeppelin cd’s & dvd’s seized
at a record convention in Glasgow in 2005.
2003: Approximately 450,000 attended the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto
benefit concert which was held at Downsview Park. Headliners included The
Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Rush, The Guess Who & Justin Timberlake.
1991: A police officer tore up a traffic ticket given to the limousine Axl
Rose was traveling in after the limo made a wrong turn. Axl threatened to
cancel that night’s Guns N’ Roses concert at the Great Western Forum in Los
Angeles if the ticket was issued.
1987: The North American portion of David Bowie’s Glass Spider tour, which
featured Peter Frampton as his guitarist kicked off in Philadelphia, PA at
Veterans Stadium.
1965: The Beatles’ album Yesterday and Today went to number one on the
Billboard 200 album chart for the first of five consecutive weeks.
