2007: Don Arden, the man once dubbed “the Al Capone of pop”, father of Sharon Osbourne & manager of acts such as The Small Faces, Black Sabbath, & ELO died of Alzheimer’s disease in Beverly Hills. He was 81 years old.

2005: Long John Baldry, the man credited with discovering Elton John & Rod Stewart died of a chest infection in Vancouver, BC. He was 64 years old.

1990: Roger Waters staged a live performance of The Wall at the Berlin Wall along with such guests as Bryan Adams, Joni Mitchell, The Band, Van Morrison, & The Scorpions.

1977: Linda Ronstadt joined the Rolling Stones onstage in Tucson, AZ to perform Tumbling Dice.

1973: Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown by Jim Croce hit number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart.
