1999: Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, Tommy, & Marky Ramone made their final public appearance together at Virgin Megastore in New York City to sign copies of their anthology cd release Hey! Ho! Let’s Go! The Ramones Anthology.

Capitol Records put a stop to radio stations in Detroit & Cleveland airing a bootleg copy of Paul McCartney’s upcoming single I Got Stung, an Elvis Presley cover.

1986: Carlos Santana celebrated his 39th birthday & 20th anniversary in the music business with a concert in San Francisco where 17 members of Santana, both past & present all performed onstage together.

1965: Bob Dylan released Like a Rolling Stone, which would become his first major hit single eventually peaking at number two on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles Chart.

1954: Elvis Presley performed his first public concert on the back of a flatbed truck in Memphis outside of a drug store to commemorate its grand opening.
