2007: Within 24 hours of being placed for auction, a pair of glasses John Lennon wore on The Beatles’ tour of Japan in 1966 had already reached over $1 million.

1980: Allen Klein, former manager of The Beatles and the Rolling Stones began a two month jail sentence on charges of falsifying tax returns.

1977: Elvis Costello and the Attractions made their live debut in Cornwall, England.

1973: The Everly Brothers performed their last concert at Knott’s Berry Farm in California. The group would reunite ten years later.

1967: The Who began their first North American tour in Calgary, AB opening for Herman’s Hermits.
