1997: Bob Seger drove his BMW off of the Trans-Canada Highway in Nipigon, Ontario & was charged with drunk driving after crashing his car.

1992: At Wembley Stadium in London, Eric Clapton and Elton John co-headlined a concert with Bonnie Raitt opening at their request.

1990: During a concert in Liverpool, Paul McCartney performed Strawberry Fields Forever, Help! and Give Peace a Chance live in public for the first time.

1973: A British Invasion revival concert took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City with artists such as Wayne Fontana, Gerry and The Pacemakers, Herman’s Hermits and The Searchers all appearing on the bill.

1962: The Drifters recorded the classic track Up on the Roof, written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King.
