2006: California punk band Supernova sued the makers of the CBS reality show Rock Star: Supernova alleging that their name had been unfairly appropriated. The reality show was looking for a lead singer for a band featuring Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted & Gilby Clarke.

1998: Bryan Adams, Gordon Lightfoot & Anne Murray were the first rock & pop artists to receive stars on Canada’s Walk of Fame in Toronto.

1977: Elvis Presley performed his final concert at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, IN.

1975: Sonny & Cher’s divorce was finalized after 11 years of marriage.

1973: Keith Richards & his girlfriend Anita Pallenberg were arrested at Richards’ home in London on gun & drugs charges.
