2002: U2 lost a bid to prevent demolition of the Hanover Quay studio in Dublin, which was the studio used by the group since 1994.

1977: Johnny Rotten & Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols were stabbed and beaten outside of a pub in London.

Talking Heads band mates Chris Frantz & Tina Weymouth got married. They also played together in their side project the Tom Tom Club.

1975: Elvis Presley underwent a face-lift at Mid-South hospital in Memphis, TN.

1974: Rare Earth drummer Peter Hoorelbeke was arrested after a concert for throwing his drumsticks into the crowd.
