2005: HMV Canada announced that they pulled all Alanis Morissette products from their shelves for six weeks after her decision to sell her acoustic version of Jagged Little Pill exclusively through Starbucks for the first six weeks of release.

2003: David Gilmour & Sting are among those on the Queen’s Birthday Honours list for their services to music.

1989: Jerry Lee Lewis received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, two weeks before the biopic on his life Great Balls of Fire! is set to open in movie theaters.

1980: Roadie opened in movie theaters across the U.S. Among those appearing in the movie include Meat Loaf, Alice Cooper, Blondie & Roy Orbison.

Before a Philadelphia Phillies home game, Pat Benatar performed a short set & danced with the team mascot, the Phillie Phanatic.

1975: John Lennon made his final television performance on Salute to Sir Lew Grade. He performed Slippin’ and Slidin’ and Imagine.
