2002: Months of secrecy surrounding the upcoming wedding of Paul McCartney & Heather Mills were leaked to the press when John Leslie, owner of the 17th Century Castle Leslie slipped to reporters that McCartney booked the Castle for his wedding.

1989: Chrissie Hynde claimed she firebombed a McDonald’s during a Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior’s press conference. The next day a McDonald’s in the U.K. was firebombed & Hynde was threatened with legal action.

1982: Simon and Garfunkel kicked off their first reunion tour in Paris, France. The U.S. portion of this reunion tour would be scrapped when past conflicts were rediscovered.

1974: Rick Wakeman announced he was leaving Yes. Over the next three decades he would rejoin & leave the band again multiple times.

1969: Brian Jones, founding member of the Rolling Stones announced he was leaving the band, saying he no longer saw “eye to eye” with the rest of the band.
