2007: On the fortieth anniversary of the
release of The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, the BBC
organized contemporary musicians including Bryan Adams, Oasis, & The Fray to
re-record the album using the same one-inch four-track equipment which
recorded the original album.
2004: Sum 41 leave Congo after being evacuated from the set of a documentary
the group was filming to draw attention to Congo’s problems of civil war.
1991: David Ruffin of the Temptations died in Philadelphia, PA of an
accidental drug overdose.
1975: The Rolling Stones kicked off their Tour of the Americas in Baton
Rouge, LA. This would be their first tour with Ron Wood, who happened to
