2005: Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne put the Beverly Hills house that was featured on the hit reality television show The Osbournes up for sale. Pop superstar Christina Aguilera eventually purchases the house.

1999: The Royal Mail in the U.K. announced that Queen front man Freddie Mercury would be joining a host of other British celebrities gracing their own postage stamps.

1991: Founder & lead singer for The Byrds Gene Clark died of a heart attack at 46 years old at his home in Sherman Oaks, CA.

1980: Patrons looking to buy tickets to Genesis’ benefit show at the Roxy in Los Angeles were surprised to see the band members selling the tickets themselves.

1971: Bob Dylan’s 30th birthday was commemorated with a Peanuts cartoon commenting on the event.

1968: Mick Jagger & Marianne Faithfull were arrested on charges of marijuana possession, the same day the Rolling Stones release Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
