2004: Phil Spector and his chauffer are arrested in Los Angeles after getting into a scuffle over their “business relationship”.

1988: Atlantic Records’ 40th anniversary party at Madison Square Garden sees the surviving members of Led Zeppelin reunite with Jason Bonham on drums. Other acts performing include Foreigner, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Genesis & Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

1976: Keith Relf, former lead singer for the Yardbirds is electrocuted while tuning his guitar in his bathtub. He’s DOA.

1956: Buddy Holly gets fitted for contact lenses. He didn’t like them & he sticks with his trademark glasses.
