2003: Noel Redding, bassist for The Jimi Hendrix Experience, is found dead at 57 years old in County Cork, Ireland.

1996: Bernadette O’Brien died at 17 years old at a Smashing Pumpkins concert at The Point in Dublin, Ireland due to severe injuries. The Pumpkins immediately ended their performance after this incident occurred.

1972: While appearing on the Dick Cavett Show, John Lennon says that he thinks the FBI is tapping his phone as part of a plan to have him deported from the U.S.

1981: Bob Marley dies of lung cancer & a brain tumor. He was 36 years old. In 1990, Jamaica would proclaim his birthday of February 6th a national holiday.

1965: The Byrds make their debut on U.S. television on Hullabaloo performing Mr. Tambourine Man.

1964: The Rolling Stones are refused lunch at the Grand hotel in Bristol, England because they were not wearing jackets & ties.
