2006: Black Sabbath, Blondie, Miles Davis, Lynyrd Skynyrd & the Sex Pistols were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Sex Pistols didn’t attend & former Blondie members Nigel Harrison & Frank Infante used their portion of their speeches to ask question why they didn’t get to perform.

2003: The surviving members of MC5 performed at the 100 Club in London with special guests which included Ian Astbury of The Cult & Lemmy of Motorhead.

1996: Ramones fans rioted in Buenos Aires after they found out that they had waited all night to buy tickets for a concert that was already sold out.

1987: Heat of the Night by Bryan Adams was the first single to be released primarily on cassette after the record industry agreed to introduce the format on a wide-scale & phase out vinyl singles.

1977: Iggy Pop kicked off a North American tour with David Bowie on keyboards in Montreal at Le Plateau Theatre. The support act was Blondie.

1971: The Allman Brothers Band completed their two night stand at New York City’s Fillmore East which was recorded and later released as a live album titled At Fillmore East, widely considered as their breakthrough album.

1965: Eric Clapton left The Yardbirds, dissatisfied with their new pop direction as Clapton wanted to continue playing in the blues type vein.
